Job Title: Class A CDL Tow Truck Driver

As a key member of our team at LKQ, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class A CDL Tow Truck Driver to join our ranks. As a Towing Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a company vehicle to transport vehicles to and from various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a 4-car carrier tow truck in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Load and verify vehicles, collect paperwork, and obtain signatures.
  • Deliver vehicles to the plant, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) procedures and regulations.
  • Assume other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • High School Graduate or GED equivalent required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience driving a commercial vehicle and/or certified from an accredited commercial driving school.
  • Valid Class A driver's license and safe driving record required.
  • Meet Department of Transportation testing and physical requirements.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and procedures.
  • Detail-oriented and accurate in work assignments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

This is a physically demanding role that requires frequent bending, climbing, moving, and lifting up to 50 pounds during the loading and unloading of trucks. The employee will be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and may be required to work in extreme temperatures and inclement weather conditions.
