The Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences at Texas A&M University is seeking a highly qualified Veterinary Anesthesiologist to join our team. As a Clinical Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology, you will play a critical role in student education, patient care, and scholarship.

Our State-of-the-Art Facilities

Our Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital (VMTH) is a cutting-edge facility with sophisticated diagnostic and patient care equipment, including color-flow Doppler ultrasonography, 4D transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, digital fluoroscopy, scintigraphy, 40 slice CT, 3T MRI, video endoscopy, nuclear imaging, acid-base/blood-gas analyzers, oxygen and inhalant gas analyzers, standard coagulation as well as TEG and PFA analyzers, intraoperative cell salvage transfusion equipment, phacoemulsification system, high-flow oxygen therapy, and an ICU telemetry system.

Research Opportunities

As a member of our team, you will have access to a wide range of research equipment, including lithium and thermodilution cardiac output monitoring, thermal threshold testing, and mechanical threshold testing.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have a DVM degree (or equivalent) and be a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia (ACVAA) or European College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia (ECVAA), or have completed an ACVAA or ECVAA approved residency and have met the requirements to take the corresponding board examination. You must also be licensed or eligible for regular or special licenses to practice veterinary medicine in Texas.
