Geriatric Medicine Physician Opportunity

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Geriatrician to join a multidisciplinary team-based clinic. This team supports our Memory Center and Geriatrics Consult Clinic and is comprised of Geriatricians, Neurologists, Geriatric Psychiatrists, Advance Practice Practitioners, Social Workers, Pharmacists, and a Chaplain.

The ideal candidate will be passionate and knowledgeable about older adults' health issues, possess a geriatric medicine background, and a desire to provide outpatient geriatric consultation with an organization committed to high-quality and compassionate care. The schedule for this full-time opportunity is a traditional weekday schedule consisting of a 4-day work week with direct face-to-face patient care and 1 day dedicated for administrative responsibilities.

Requirements for this opportunity include:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
  • Successful completion of an accredited internal medicine or family medicine residency program
  • Geriatrics Expertise:
    • Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Geriatric Medicine through the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM), or
    • Certification of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Geriatric Medicine through the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM), or
    • Certification in the Subspecialty of Geriatric Medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), or
    • Obtain such certification within 3 years of employment, or
    • Ten years of practice experience devoted primarily to the care of older patients
  • Idaho medical license, registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA (controlled substances), privileges at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center
