Custodial Professional

About the Job: Montgomery County MD is seeking a Custodial Professional to maintain the cleanliness and organization of our facilities. As an Evening Facilities Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy environment for staff and visitors.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning procedures including sweep, mop floors, dust/polish furniture and equipment, clean glass at entrance doors, empty wastebaskets and remove trash, empty outside trash containers
• Clean restrooms and restock supplies to assure that staff and visitor's needs are met
• Operate floor machines, burnishers and carpet cleaning equipment
• Adhere to all safety rules for handling and disposing of cleaning agents, including universal precautions and proper use of personal protection equipment
• Communicate effectively with other staff and visitors, work harmoniously with other members of staff
• Respond to unexpected changes in work volume, emergency scheduling or staff revisions

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior custodial experience

Working Conditions:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
