Role Overview
The Chief Growth Officer is tasked with steering the expansion of the Kadena ecosystem through insightful strategic initiatives and well-informed decisions. This position will collaborate closely with the Business Development and Strategy teams to maintain a comprehensive understanding of ongoing and upcoming Kadena advancements. This knowledge is crucial for developing clear and actionable business and strategic plans aimed at positioning Kadena and its ecosystem as frontrunners in the cryptocurrency sector.
Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will immerse themselves in the existing processes and culture of Kadena, promoting these values throughout the ecosystem. As new projects emerge, there may be a necessity to pivot focus towards nurturing, managing, and scaling these ventures. Initiatives may encompass ecosystem investment strategies and other strategic opportunities requiring direct engagement and/or staffing from Kadena personnel.
Impactful Contributions
- Directly engage with Kadena's leadership to refine business strategies.
- Develop and oversee a detailed budget for the Business Development division.
- Manage the Kadena grants program, aiming for over $10 million in annual grants.
- Identify and cultivate essential partnerships for Kadena.
- Actively recruit, mentor, and guide members of the Business Development team, ensuring the team meets its targets in lead generation and opportunity qualifications.
- Foster robust relationships while actively seeking new business prospects.
- Address any emerging business or operational needs within Kadena or its affiliated companies.
- Collaborate with the marketing team for community engagement and communications.
- Work alongside the engineering team for technical assessments of grants and partnerships.
- Maintain current documentation of goal progress and timelines.
- Liaise with companies within the Kadena ecosystem to support their business and managerial requirements.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years in financial and/or business development roles.
- At least 5 years of experience in complex business operations and strategic planning.
- Over 5 years of experience in mentoring individuals in business and management.
- Proficiency in creating institutional-grade spreadsheets and presentations.
- Familiarity with cryptocurrency is highly advantageous.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and producing high-quality business documents for both internal and external use.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business or Finance is preferred.
