Qualifications:
  • Degree: Certificate.
  • Education: Completion of an accredited nursing assistant training program.
  • Certification: Must hold and maintain certification as a certified nursing assistant, including BLS certification.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of practical experience as a certified nursing assistant post-graduation.

Responsibilities:
  • Execute a comprehensive range of Certified Nurse Assistant responsibilities within the boundaries of their competencies, including tasks outlined in the fundamental contract and the following:
  • Ensure that patient care is delivered in alignment with the Standards of Nursing Care and the operational policies of the organization.
  • Assist healthcare providers as necessary during examinations, including women's health assessments.
  • Verify each medical record for the provider's signature, stamp, and each patient's diagnosis before returning the record to Health Records.
  • Administer prescribed medications to patients as instructed.
  • Deliver immunizations safely and accurately, adhering strictly to all relevant immunization policies.
  • Gather laboratory and radiology results.
  • Perform various administrative tasks as required: answering phone calls and accurately transcribing messages, aiding with patient check-in, assisting in appointment scheduling, and properly organizing documents including lab requests, consultations, treatment forms, and other administrative responsibilities.
  • Utilize medical equipment as directed, including Automatic Blood Pressure Monitors, Hand Held Nebulizers, EKG Machines (12 lead), Electronic Thermometers, and IV infusion pumps (set-up only).
