Responsibilities:
- Execute a comprehensive range of Certified Nurse Assistant responsibilities within the boundaries of their competencies, including tasks outlined in the fundamental contract and the following:
- Ensure that patient care is delivered in alignment with the Standards of Nursing Care and the operational policies of the organization.
- Assist healthcare providers as necessary during examinations, including women's health assessments.
- Verify each medical record for the provider's signature, stamp, and each patient's diagnosis before returning the record to Health Records.
- Administer prescribed medications to patients as instructed.
- Deliver immunizations safely and accurately, adhering strictly to all relevant immunization policies.
- Gather laboratory and radiology results.
- Perform various administrative tasks as required: answering phone calls and accurately transcribing messages, aiding with patient check-in, assisting in appointment scheduling, and properly organizing documents including lab requests, consultations, treatment forms, and other administrative responsibilities.
- Utilize medical equipment as directed, including Automatic Blood Pressure Monitors, Hand Held Nebulizers, EKG Machines (12 lead), Electronic Thermometers, and IV infusion pumps (set-up only).
