About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the Department of Veterans Affairs in Dayton, OH. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to assigned clients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs and goals of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and effective care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and guidelines to provide evidence-based care.
Requirements
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
  • Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
  • One year of specialized nursing experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal Service, and completion of a nursing program approved by the ACEN or CCNE.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a leadership or management role.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practice and quality improvement principles.
