Job Summary

As a Personal Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing companionship, assistance with daily living activities, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Companionship and Social Support: Engage with clients in activities that promote socialization and mental stimulation, such as conversation, reading, and games.
  • Assist with Daily Living Activities: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, oral hygiene, and ambulation, as needed.
  • Maintain a Safe and Healthy Environment: Ensure clients' homes are clean, safe, and free from hazards, and perform light housekeeping tasks as needed.
  • Assist with Meal Preparation and Grocery Shopping: Assist clients with meal preparation, grocery shopping, and kitchen clean-up, as needed.
  • Remind Clients to Take Medications: Remind clients to take their prescribed medications, as needed.
  • Establish and Maintain Effective Communication: Establish and maintain effective communication with clients, family members, and colleagues, and maintain confidentiality regarding client information.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Comfort Keepers Training and Orientation: Must satisfactorily complete Comfort Keepers training and orientation program.
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills: Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and work independently.
Work Environment

The work environment for this position is primarily in clients' homes and may require occasional use of a vehicle.
