Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team at CityVet - Chamblee. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and operational support to our veterinarians. If you are passionate about animal welfare and have a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities- Assist veterinarians with patient care, including preparing patients for surgery, administering anesthesia, and gathering lab specimens.
- Monitor patients post-operatively and restrain animals during exams.
- Obtain samples for testing and assist with interpreting results.
- Administer medications and vaccines as prescribed by the veterinarian.
- Communicate effectively with clients to obtain medical information and provide instructions on animal care.
- Collaborate with the Client Service Specialist team to ensure seamless client communication and support.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 18 years of age at the time of hire.
- At least 1 year of veterinary industry experience.
- Ability to restrain animals safely and properly.
- Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and medication.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
