This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing tractor-trailer bodies, systems, and components, as well as other fleet vehicles and machines.
The salary for this position is estimated to be around $65,000-$85,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including flexible paid time-off, comprehensive health insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair tractor-trailer bodies, systems, and components
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on power units, trailers, and piggyback lifts
- Assemble and disassemble vehicle engines and clean fuel tanks
- Oil and lubricate moving parts on power units, trailers, and piggyback lifts
- Maintain hubs and axles and adjust or replace them when required
- Inspect, service, and replace trailer parts, including tires
- Check and repair brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Test all systems and equipment for performance issues
- Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and processes to improve fleet efficiency and safety
