About the Role

Premise Health is a leading direct healthcare provider, serving over 11 million eligible lives across the United States. We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in a PRN capacity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide High-Quality Patient Care: Utilize nursing skills to evaluate patient care needs, prioritize treatment, and maintain patient flow.
  • Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Take patient histories, perform physical assessments, and obtain vital signs and medical tests as needed.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Work with physicians and other licensed independent practitioners to arrange for further medical treatment when necessary.
  • Identify and Address Equipment Needs: Recognize equipment that requires repair and bring it to the attention of the lead clinician.
  • Perform Occupational and Health Screening Tests: Conduct EKGs, audiometry, spirometry, and vision tests as defined in site contracts.
  • Document Patient Information: Accurately document all elements of nursing assessment, treatments, medications administered, discharge instructions provided, and follow-up care arranged.
  • Provide Health Education and Promotion: Evaluate health education/promotion needs of patients and provide necessary training and instruction.
  • Administer Medications and Treatments: Competently administer medications and medical treatments as directed by a physician or licensed independent practitioner.
  • Maintain Medical Records: Use electronic medical record software to maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
  • Ensure a Clean and Safe Environment: Maintain a clean and safe environment, following infection control procedures and patient confidentiality guidelines.
Requirements
  • Certification and Education: Certificate from an accredited nursing school or associate's degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Licensure: Currently licensed registered nurse in the state of practice required.
  • Training and Certification: Current hands-on training in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for healthcare providers required; advanced cardiac life support may also be required based on contract scope of services.
  • Preferred Experience: At least three years of experience as a registered nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic, or other ambulatory care clinic.
