Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in the Inpatient Orthopedic Trauma unit at Lewis-Gale Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and documenting patient information.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Monitor patient progress, identify potential complications, and take appropriate action to prevent or mitigate them.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.
Requirements
  • Current LPN licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia or eligibility for licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of experience as an LPN in an inpatient setting.
  • Specialty certification in orthopedic trauma or a related field.
