Key Responsibilities
  • Process escrow account transactions, including new account set-ups, transfers, and account closures
  • Maintain deposit accounts and safe deposit boxes, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Resolve customer and bank issues related to deposit accounts and transactions
  • Verify and correct customer SSNs and EINs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Process and disburse interest checks, ensuring accurate withholding and remittance of income taxes
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis, identifying and resolving any discrepancies
  • Assist in the annual escheat process, communicating with customers and remitting funds to the state as necessary
  • Calculate interest and interest corrections, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Process entries for approved charge-off requests, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Review and correct savings bond addenda, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Compile and disseminate research as per instructions, providing valuable insights to the team
  • Recommend enhancements and upgrades to deposit products and services, evaluating policies, procedures, systems, and reports
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; three years of retail banking experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work well independently and with others, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet multiple departmental deadlines
