Position Overview

Inova Health System is in search of a Surgical Technologist to contribute to our esteemed team in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Exhibit exceptional expertise in aseptic and surgical methodologies while serving as the primary scrub.
  • Proactively address the need for unexpected procedures or unforeseen circumstances during surgical operations.
  • Support the leadership team and showcase leadership capabilities.
  • Identify safety risks and initiate suitable preventive and corrective measures.
  • Demonstrate superior knowledge in high-pressure and emergency scenarios.
  • Facilitate the efficiency of the daily operating room schedule by readily accepting various assignments.
Position Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the role of a Surgical Technologist.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C) via NCCT.
  • BLS certification through AHA is mandatory.
  • Registration as a Surgical Technologist is required.
  • Eligibility for Surgical Technologist registration through the Commonwealth of Virginia at the time of hire, with completion within 6 months of employment.
