About the Role

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Modeling and Simulation Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Performance Modeling and Analysis Department, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) of space, air, and ground-based systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute MS&A projects using AFSIM and other engineering tools.
  • Interact with customers to understand analysis tasks and provide results.
  • Develop and deliver timely and technically accurate presentations and reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in applicable STEM areas or other relevant disciplines.
  • 8 years' of progressively more responsible engineering experience.
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams to complete technical analyses as part of larger project efforts.
  • Demonstrated expertise in using the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM).
  • Knowledge in one or more of these specific national security space or intelligence mission areas: killchains, space-based surveillance, spacecraft ground systems, multi-phenomenology remote sensing techniques, and architecture resiliency.
  • Ability to work on dynamic task assignments and adapt to changing customer expectations.
  • Proficiency in astrodynamics or space operations.
  • Experience with one or more software languages that may include Python, C++, or MATLAB.
Preferred Qualifications
  • An advanced degree in applicable STEM areas or other relevant disciplines.
  • Experience modeling the space domain in AFSIM and/or integrating external tools with AFSIM.
  • Knowledge of Intelligence Community or U.S. Department of Defense business practices, acquisition policies, or space mission portfolios.
  • Current TS/SCI access.
