Infrastructure Specialist

Job Summary

Innova Solutions, Inc is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. As an Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's infrastructure, including desktops, servers, phones, and network switches.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, implementation, and maintenance of all company environments, including development, staging, and production.
• Ensure IT system security baselines are met and security improvements are implemented across the infrastructure.
• Participate in evaluating future technologies and make recommendations for software and hardware upgrades.
• Effectively manage tickets and communicate with users and management on project status, problems, and escalations.
• Maintain system integrity through upgrades, support, and new technology implementation.
• Provide input on technical direction of internal systems.
• Support compliance requirements for attestations such as SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.
• Actively participate in the change management process.
• Ensure high availability in the data center.
• Participate in the design, implementation, and execution of backup and disaster recovery planning.
• Conduct proactive research to analyze security weaknesses and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Create, document, and follow standards for service delivery, professionalism, and ethics.
• Act as a mentor to other team members.
• Perform system administration duties in on-prem and Azure environments.
• Integrate administration duties, understanding, documenting, and becoming the focal point of data, network, applications, and security across all environments.
• Own and manage the overall asset list, including desktops, servers, and other technical hardware.
• Lead the deployment cycle for new or replacement desktops.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years' experience implementing and troubleshooting Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Certificate Authority, Network Policy Server, and IIS.
• 5+ years' experience end-to-end support of a company's infrastructure, with experience supporting over 150 employees across the United States preferred.
• Ability to accommodate on-call rotation, weekend, and after-hours work.
• Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Certificate Authority, Network Policy Server, and IIS.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Intune and Autopilot preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of virtualization technologies, including VMware vSphere, Horizon View, Hyper-V, and Azure.
• Strong knowledge of backup solutions, including Veeam experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of SAN technologies and Fibre Channel, with Nimble experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills, organizational skills, and ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Proven knowledge of IT infrastructure required.
• Ability to work with multiple large-scale, concurrent projects as a project lead, manager, and/or coordinator.
