CHRISTUS Health is seeking a skilled Perinatal Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Perinatal Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the Labor and Delivery Department.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Patient Care: Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for assigned patients.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care.
- Manage Patient Flow: Anticipate and plan for admission, discharge, and transfer needs to facilitate patient flow.
- Maintain a Safe Environment: Incorporate patient safety practices and guidelines to promote a safe environment resulting in positive patient outcomes.
- Document Patient Information: Accurately document patient information, including medical history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
- Experience: 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
- Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications/Registrations: RN License in state of employment or compact, BLS required, Current certification from NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or one of the following AWHONN courses: Intermediate FHM, Intermediate FHM Instructor, Advanced FHM Instructor, or Instructor Trainer.
