Job Summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a skilled Plumber 2 to join our team. As a Plumber 2, you will be responsible for the assembly, installation, modification, and repair of all pipes and plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assembly and Installation: Assemble, install, and modify pipes and plumbing systems to ensure proper function and safety.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing equipment and piping to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Equipment Upgrades: Upgrade plumbing equipment and piping to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any issues or concerns to the Shift Operating Engineer.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED with 6+ years of experience in plumbing or a related field.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Ability to obtain and maintain TS-SCI clearance, preferred active TS-SCI clearance. Preferred, not required to be certified/licensed in pipefitting, steam fitting, or sprinkler systems. Valid journeymen or Master plumber's license, preferred.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period. Ability to relocate a 12-foot stepladder without assistance. Ability to work at various heights up to 60 feet and climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and all types of ladders.
Abilities and Skills
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to recognize and report problems, and apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  • Communication: Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to see details at close range and maintain accurate records of work performed.
