Human Resources Business Partner

The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department at Futaba Indiana of America. This role will involve recruiting new employees, interviewing, onboarding, administering benefits, processing terminations, and enforcing company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts recruiting activities for positions, including preparing advertisements, screening applications, and conducting interviews.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable State and Federal human resource laws and regulations, including employment and safety in the workplace, labor law, ADA, FMLA, EOE, HIPPA, FLSA, harassment, and discrimination.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, team members, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Accomplishes HR objectives by orienting, training, coaching, counseling, communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and adhering to policies and procedures.
- Responsible for strategic communications for team members, including verbally, visually, socially, and through company text.
- Provides advice and information to managers, staff, and employees regarding human resource issues.
- Performs personnel audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Attends seminars and continuing education classes to enhance customer service, administrative, and technical skills.
- Oversees the proper maintenance of personnel records and information and manages access to personnel files.
- Supports compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices, reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Conducts Orientation and Training as Needed.
- Assists and conducts pre-hire and post-hire background checks, professional licenses, verifications, and other required screening checks ensuring they are completed within timelines.
- Conducts workplace investigations, as needed.
- Provides objective feedback and solution-focused recommendations in resolving conflict and employee relations matters.
- Serves as a payroll processor.
- Maintains positive employee relations with staff and management.
- Performs all other duties as assigned and requested.
