We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Ortho Med Trauma team at Intermountain Health's St. Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, Montana.

Job Overview

This full-time position offers a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care. As a Registered Nurse on our unit, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients with various medical and surgical conditions.

About the Unit

The Ortho Med Trauma unit is a 45-bed unit that specializes in caring for both medical and surgical patients. We offer inpatient care to patients with multiple diagnoses, including sepsis, diabetes, electrolyte imbalances, gastrointestinal, respiratory, cardiac-tele monitored, infectious, kidney, and liver diseases. Our team utilizes the nursing process by using technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice, and coordination of care with other health team members.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and prioritize patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient progress.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care and maintain effective communication with patients and families.
  • Provide comprehensive patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs.
  • Participate in unit council meetings and contribute to the development of innovative changes or devices for patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
  • A current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice is required.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification upon hire or obtained within 60 days of hire with prior approval.
