**Job Summary:** As a Housing Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing housing services to individuals impacted by mental illness, substance use disorders, and intellectual developmental disabilities. **Job Description:** The Housing Support Specialist will perform a variety of duties, including coordinating client interviews, managing rent determinations, and ensuring timely issuance of vouchers. You will also be responsible for explaining policies and regulations to property owners, assisting voucher holders in finding acceptable units, and maintaining accurate records.
**Responsibilities:**
- Conduct client interviews to assess eligibility for housing assistance
- Manage GHV/HCV applications, rent determinations, and voucher issuance
- Communicate with property owners, clients, and case managers to coordinate housing services
- Provide training and support to clients and case managers on program policies and procedures
**Salary Range:** $55,000 - $65,000 per year
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a helping field
- 1 year experience in the MH field
