We are seeking a skilled Nursing Educator to join our team at Emory Healthcare. As a Nursing Educator, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of healthcare by providing exceptional education and training to our nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement educational programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of nursing staff
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to design and deliver high-quality patient care
- Conduct educational sessions to promote staff development, student competence, and positive patient outcomes
- Model expert communication skills and serve as a resource person to colleagues
- Identify and address the educational needs of staff, including the development of unit-based clinical orientation programs
- Assist with the development of staff portfolios and annual educational needs assessments
- Work with preceptors to individualize unit orientation and develop clinical leadership and critical thinking skills in others
- Integrate patient and family education activities into unit-based staff development and continuing education programs
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Two years of experience as an RN with a minimum of two years of experience in the area of concentration
- Valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board
- Nursing certification preferred
- Completion of formal preceptor training workshop
- BLS required and ACLS may be required in designated departments
