Mortgage Loan Processor Job Summary

First Bank, Upper Michigan is seeking a skilled Mortgage Loan Processor to join our team. As a Mortgage Loan Processor, you will be responsible for preparing mortgage loans, working closely with loan officers, and ensuring compliance with mortgage lending policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and process mortgage loan documents, including loan applications, credit reports, and title reports.
  • Verify loan information, including income, credit, and employment history.
  • Collaborate with loan officers to ensure timely loan processing and closing.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of loan processing and closing activities.
  • Ensure compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and other regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in mortgage loan processing or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of mortgage lending policies and regulations, including BSA.
