Job Summary:
The Telecommunications Infrastructure Estimator will be responsible for developing accurate and timely proposals and estimates for projects to ensure that NTI Connect is a responsive bidder. This role will work with a team of Project Managers and Area Directors in the development of multidisciplinary estimates and work independently on projects of lesser scope and complexity.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare estimate of costs for materials, labor, and equipment based on provided scope of work, drawings, and specifications.
- Work with distribution to maintain best available pricing and lead times.
- Prepare cost breakouts and submit onto Excel bid form.
- Prepare proposals based on scope of work and bid specifications.
- Work with team, customer, or end user to generate RFI's.
- Work with team, customer, or end user to generate work schedule.
- Work with team to provide ideas and improvements.
- Work with project management team to create project schedule.
- Reviews and understands all bid documents and material requirements to assess constructability and product material requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in the field.
- Extensive knowledge of construction means and methods, costs, and engineering principles.
- Able to work independently without much supervision and work well with a team.
- Understands costs and market conditions.
- Takes accountability for delivering on commitments.
- Identifies and understands differences in subcontractor quotations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced computer skills with estimating software.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment.
