Key Responsibilities: This role involves providing comprehensive care for patients during antepartum, labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum stages. The nurse will offer lactation education and support, ensuring family-centered care for both the newborn and Level 2 Nursery. The position requires collaboration with healthcare providers and team members to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.

Essential Duties:

  1. Manage daily patient flow to enhance care, safety, and satisfaction.
  2. Effectively triage incoming patient requests.
  3. Provide patient education to support care plans and promote wellness.
  4. Delegate care responsibilities in accordance with state regulations.
  5. Exhibit strong assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills.
  6. Handle a high volume of patient requests efficiently.
  7. Administer medications and perform treatments while adhering to safety protocols.
  8. Coordinate care with other healthcare practices to ensure optimal patient satisfaction.
  9. Work independently with minimal supervision.
  10. Deliver exceptional service through effective communication and advocacy for patient needs.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of one year of clinical experience required.
  • Licensure: Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in the relevant state.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
  • Education: At least an Associate Nursing Degree is required for positions hired after a specified date.
