Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Certified Cardiovascular Technologist to play a key role in our cardiovascular care unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with cardiac catheterization procedures, providing critical support to the cardiac care team, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care in the cath lab.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procedure Preparation: Prepare and set up the catheterization laboratory for diagnostic and interventional procedures.
  • Procedure Assistance: Assist the cardiologist and other healthcare professionals during cardiac catheterization and angiography procedures.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain specialized cath lab equipment, ensuring its proper function and safety.
  • Patient Monitoring: Monitor patients' vital signs and provide appropriate care during procedures.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and procedure documentation.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective patient care and communication.
  • Radiation Safety: Adhere to radiation safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
  • On-Call Rotation: Participate in the on-call rotation schedule as needed.
Requirements
  • Certification: Certified Technologist (CT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential.
  • CPR Certification: Current CPR certification.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in operating cath lab equipment and imaging systems.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and cath lab procedures.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
