POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Lead Project Engineer in Manufacturing. In this pivotal role, your key responsibilities will encompass:
  • Delivering specialized knowledge and support in significant manufacturing initiatives, collaborating with both internal and external partners to enhance manufacturing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Assessing major systems and ensuring their integration with overall plant operations.
  • Guiding suppliers in evaluating their current or proposed product/process designs to ascertain the viability of utilizing existing designs or modifying them for enhanced process and product outcomes.
  • Offering mentorship and direction to manufacturing engineers and operators to foster the development of high-quality products and processes.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will be a dedicated Lead Project Engineer in Manufacturing who is passionate about their work and recognized as a top performer within their field. Candidates should possess extensive experience in several of the following areas:
  • Expertise in overseeing large-scale capital projects, including conceptualization, funding acquisition, and execution.
  • Manufacturing experience specifically related to the production of cast materials, machining, and process control documentation.
  • Judgment and Decision-Making:
  • Understanding of the decision-making framework; ability to assess the implications of emerging business scenarios and select the optimal course of action to enhance organizational performance.
  • Project Management: Proficient Knowledge.
  • Familiarity with effective project management methodologies; capability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring the efficient use of technical and administrative resources to meet project goals.
  • Manufacturing Process Design and Development: Proficient Knowledge:
  • Understanding of how to develop or design manufacturing processes; ability to identify and implement processes and parameters that enhance functionality and reduce costs.
  • Capacity Planning & Management - MFG: Proficient Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of tools and practices for assessing production demand and managing resources to ensure satisfactory service levels.
