Protection Officer

Join Wake Forest University as a Protection Officer and play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our campus community.
About the Role:This part-time position is responsible for providing protection to Reynolda House Museum of American Art, as well as guests and staff, from criminal activity, fire, safety hazards, or other dangerous situations.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor activities within the museum, conduct roving patrols, and respond to incidents as directed.
- Regulate and control traffic through gallery spaces during regular museum operation and special events.
- Assist in the evacuation of the museum in the event of an emergency that threatens life or property.
- Conduct opening and closing building inspections.
- High School graduate or G.E.D. with two years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to successfully complete security training, first aid/CPR training, and other training as assigned by the Director of Security.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or other emergency services.
This position requires the ability to perform bending, climbing, crouching, kneeling, reaching from ground level to overhead, pushing and pulling up to 20 pounds, and standing or walking for long periods.
Subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, occasional extreme heat and cold, and hazards.
