The VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION is seeking a highly skilled Optometrist to join our team in the Optometry Department. As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality eye and vision care services to our patients in the outpatient setting.

• Delivering comprehensive eye exams and prescribing corrective lenses as needed
• Diagnosing and treating a wide range of eye conditions, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy
• Providing patient education and counseling on ocular health issues
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
• Performing administrative tasks, including documenting patient progress and completing encounters

• Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited institution
• Current licensure to practice optometry in the state of Minnesota
• 1 year of experience in optometry, preferably in a clinical setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Previous experience in managing ocular diseases
• Knowledge of current optometric practices and procedures
• Experience working with electronic medical records

This is an intermittent position, with variable hours and shifts. The selectee will be required to work in a fast-paced clinical environment and may be required to travel between locations.
