Job Summary

As an Emergency Care Nurse at Dartmouth Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our Emergency Department. You will utilize the nursing process to assess symptoms, plan interventions, implement treatment plans, evaluate responses to interventions, and revise plans based on overall effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process to provide patient-centered care.
  • Demonstrate skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care to the population served.
  • Adhere to established practice standards and procedures in the administration of medications and in-patient care activities.
  • Document care provided using hospital standards.
  • Provide education to patients and families based on assessment of learning needs.
  • Follow the Standards of Practice established for the Emergency Services Department.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical practice required.
  • ED experience preferred.
Experience

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current state license.
  • ACLS and BLS Required.
  • Area of Interest:Nursing Services;
Work Status:36 hours per week. (7P-7A) Set schedule available.;
