Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Operating Room/Circulating department at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, with a minimum of 9 months of experience in a hospital setting. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care, as well as coordinating with other healthcare disciplines to ensure seamless care transitions.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Assessment: Perform accurate multi-system assessments, including biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, education needs, and discharge planning needs.
  • Planning: Develop an individualized nursing plan of care, taking into account the patient's developmental needs and coordinating with other departments and community agencies.
  • Implementation: Initiate appropriate measures based on protocol for the management of medical and/or surgical patients, accurately documenting in the EMR and utilizing a multidisciplinary approach when necessary.
  • Evaluation: Evaluate assessment methods, plan of care, and patient response to treatment, participating in unit quality assurance activities.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum 9 months of RN experience, with a minimum of 1 year of experience circulating in an inpatient or ambulatory O.R. setting.
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • License, Certification, Registration: Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided), Basic Life Support.
Additional Requirements:
  • Computer keyboarding skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous healthcare experience, Bachelors degree in nursing or related field.
  • Two (2) years O.R. circulating and scrubbing, CNOR, ACLS, Pre-Op area IV skill, Completion/certification from approved peri-op program.
