Security Director

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Security Director to join our team at Wellpath. As a Security Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations and functions of the security department, ensuring the safety and security of the client population and staff.

• Plan, coordinate, and manage security staff to ensure a safe facility by adequately staffing all posts and conducting ongoing environmental inspections and reviews of safety and security procedures.
• Participate in strategic planning, budget development, and collaborate with law enforcement agencies for investigations, disturbances, and thefts, while also ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and facility policies.
• Complete performance improvement reports, conduct compliance-related investigations, and implement corrective actions, along with timely completion of performance evaluations, mandatory trainings, and professional development activities.
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity, individualized care, and consideration of residents' age and developmental needs when providing care and treatment.

We are looking for a candidate with at least 10 years of work experience in a correctional or secure forensic mental health facility, with at least 5 years of managerial level experience.
