Job Title: Quality Technician C

Job Summary:

As a Quality Engineering Technician at L3Harris, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and processes. Your primary responsibility will be to support the JROC focus factory teams by conducting inspections, tracking defects, and collaborating with quality engineers to develop and implement quality control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with quality engineers to develop inspection requirements and techniques, and implement quality plans.
  • Evaluate defect data to identify trends and make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Interface with customer representatives to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in the containment, documentation, and root cause analysis for defective material in a production environment.
  • Provide baseline quality data to support daily and/or weekly yield reviews.
  • Support DPPM reduction activities by leading production work cell touch-points on issues weekly.
  • Support yield improvement initiatives through regular product and module build inspection by verifying adherence to workmanship standards and work instructions.


Requirements:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.


Preferred Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to train others on quality control processes and procedures.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other quality management systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of quality control standards and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
  • Proficiency with measurement and inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, optical comparators).
  • Understanding of statistical data analysis techniques.
