Clinical Nurse II, Medical Telemetry Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Medical Telemetry team at the University of Maryland Medical System. As a Clinical Nurse II, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of strategies to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Provide and coordinate care to patients within a clinical specialty, demonstrating expertise in the skills and knowledge required for the role.
- Serve as a fully effective and participative member of the multidisciplinary patient care services team, contributing to the advancement of group practice on the unit.
- Be accountable to patients and families for the processes and outcomes of care during an episode of care, and to the nurse manager for the totality of work performance.
- Competent evaluation with successful passing of probation, current on all mandatory classes/training.
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or eligible to practice due to Compact state agreements outlined through the MD Board of Nursing.
- Maintenance of 10 contact hours of education/year, and membership in a professional organization.
- Recent applicable clinical experience in a comparable setting, with demonstrated ability to lead others and work effectively as a multidisciplinary team member.
- Ability to learn and use computer systems to manage patient information, and to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient population served.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, and to assess data reflective of the patient's requirements relative to their population-specific and age-specific needs.
- Demonstrated highly effective interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills, with ability to ensure patient safety in the performance of job functions and through participation in hospital, department or unit patient safety initiatives.
