About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Science Liaison to join our team at Takeda Oncology. As a key member of our Field Medical team, you will play a critical role in advancing our mission to cure cancer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders in the hematology field, engaging in scientific discussions and providing education on Takeda Oncology products.
  • Develop and execute a territory engagement plan that aligns with our integrated medical strategy, prioritizing scientific exchange and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collect and analyze medical insights and intelligence from scientific exchange with healthcare professionals, ensuring timely entry into our insight tool and communication with internal stakeholders.
  • Respond to unsolicited inquiries and provide consistent information in accordance with our Field Medical SOP.
  • Support Takeda Oncology-sponsored research and identify qualified research sites for company-sponsored clinical investigations.
  • Participate in executing our USMAO strategy at medical conferences and identify potential qualified sites for future pipeline studies.
  • Present accurate, fair, and balanced scientific information to external stakeholders in various settings, including one-on-one interactions and medical meetings.
  • Complete all required training, activity documentation, expense reporting, and other administrative responsibilities.
  • Enter hospitals and other medical facilities daily, adhering to vendor credentialing policies and requirements.
Requirements
  • Advanced scientific or healthcare degree required; doctoral degree preferred.
  • Experience in Oncology is required, with Hematology therapeutic area experience preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of healthcare, clinical, or related experience is required.
  • Superior communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to engender trust and respect of peers, team members, and supervisors.
  • Versatility in technical and scientific languages to communicate with key opinion leaders, Medical Affairs, Research and Development, and other key internal and external stakeholders.
Travel Requirements
  • Ability to drive to or fly to various meetings and client sites.
  • Overnight travel (40-60%), including some weekend commitments.
  • Travel may vary depending on geography.
Territory

This territory will cover the Southwest states, including Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, partially Nevada, and Utah. The preferred location for the successful candidate to reside would be Colorado or Arizona.
