Key Responsibilities:

  • Position patients and equipment for optimal imaging results
  • Explain procedures to patients and ensure their comfort throughout the examination
  • Insert commands and data into the computer to document and specify scan sequences
  • Monitor video displays to adjust density or contrast
  • Ensure patient safety during examinations and follow procedures to prevent unnecessary radiation exposure
  • Organize daily procedure schedules for emergencies and monitor radiographic supplies
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as answering technical questions and scheduling appointments
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment
