Youth Ministry Associate

The Associate Youth Minister will play a vital role in engaging youth and young adults through innovative programs and collaborations with various parish staff and departments.

• Develop and execute a summer camp program that serves and employs youth and young adults from St. Louis and St. Francis.
• Coordinate ministry for young adults (ages 18-35), planning events for college students and young adults at the parish and regional levels.
• Support retreat programs for teens, assisting the Director of Youth Ministry and the CYM Office in envisioning ways to engage and form youth through knowing, loving, and serving God.
• Support CYM events for Middle School, High School, College/Young Adult, and volunteers, as well as assist with CYM online presence and outreach.

• 2-5 years of youth ministry experience and/or a theology-related degree preferred.
• Familiarity with Catholic teaching, theology, tradition, and doctrines.
• Familiarity with adolescent faith development, engagement, and their social and cultural environment.
• Ability to engage in one-to-one and group dynamics with young people, parents, and Parish Staff.
• Strong social media skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google tools.
• Ability to maintain proper boundaries with youth and knowledge of Child Protection policies.
