This role will contribute to the Office of the Performance Improvement Officer/Director of Administration and Management (PIO/DA&M) within the Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD).
This position is fully onsite at the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deploy technologies that enhance knowledge management and collaboration. This includes the creation of storage solutions, effective information capture and categorization through stakeholder engagement, and the development of workflows utilizing SharePoint Designer.
Administer Site Collections and assess, design, and develop applications leveraging Rest API Query calls, JavaScript, JQuery, JSON, and HTML/CSS.
Gather user feedback for system upgrades and additional functionalities, while researching new tools to better address user requirements.
Create, update, and manage Federal agency websites, social media accounts, SharePoint sites, and platforms in compliance with agency regulations and Federal law (e.g., OMB Circular No. A-130, OMB Memorandum M-17-06, among others).
Qualifications:
Required Clearance:
Active Secret clearance is mandatory to commence; the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance is necessary for continued employment.
US Citizenship is required.
Required Education and Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree along with five (5) years or more of relevant experience specifically in SharePoint development (Department of Defense experience preferred); a Master’s degree with three (3) years of experience is also acceptable. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Required Skills:
Comprehensive background and training in the application of various knowledge management and collaborative tools, particularly MS SharePoint and SharePoint Designer.
Experience with SharePoint versions 2013, 2016, and 2019 is essential, with familiarity in SharePoint Online being advantageous.
Proven experience as a SharePoint Site Collection Administrator.
Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Knowledge of both out-of-the-box and custom SharePoint development to accommodate a large volume of documents and activities.
Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
Demonstrated experience in developing, analyzing, and re-engineering business processes and standard operating procedures.
Familiarity with MS Office applications and online research tools.
Experience directly engaging with users of knowledge management tools to gather feedback and resolve issues.
Desired Skills:
Possession of an Active CompTIA Security+ CE certification to qualify for Information Assurance Technician level 2 in accordance with DoDM.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in developing and managing Federal agency websites, databases, and information management applications/systems.
Experience in building analytic/business intelligence dashboards using Microsoft Access, Power Apps, and Power BI.
Familiarity with Rest API Query calls within SharePoint.
Experience in creating and managing Web Applications, establishing and migrating Site Collections, Managed Metadata, Site Columns, Content Types, and custom Security-driven lists/libraries.
