Overview:

The Snack Bar Cook plays a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences in a vibrant and fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for preparing high-quality meals that meet the expectations of our guests while adhering to the highest standards of culinary excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure that all back-of-house operations comply with established procedural guidelines.
  2. Perform food preparation tasks for a variety of ingredients including fruits, vegetables, meats, and seafood.
  3. Prepare all menu items according to standardized recipes, adjusting flavors as necessary with guidance from the head chef.
  4. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, ensuring all food preparation and service areas are presentable.
  5. Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and replenish as needed to ensure smooth operations.
  6. Conduct routine maintenance on kitchen equipment, troubleshoot issues, and request repairs when necessary.
  7. Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations to ensure a safe cooking environment.

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

  • Some high school education or equivalent.
  • Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in or pursuit of a culinary degree.
  • Previous experience in a cooking role.
  • Knowledge of sanitation practices and the ability to maintain a clean kitchen environment.
  • Strong teamwork skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm for culinary arts.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Capable of bending, stretching, and standing for extended periods.
