Job Summary

Cox Automotive Mobility Fleet Services is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Light/Medium Duty Diesel Technician II, you will be responsible for performing licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance inspections, and repairs on light and medium-duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform licensed DOT inspections and preventative maintenance inspections on light and medium-duty vehicles.
  • Diagnose and repair issues with electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems.
  • Work with the Service Writer to assess customer needs and provide information or assistance.
  • Manage concurrent assigned tasks and prioritize work-related activities and time allocations.
  • Act with integrity and demonstrate honesty in all interactions.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field.
  • Valid driver's license and DOT Medical Card.
  • Ability to lift, bend, climb, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to exert oneself physically over long periods of time without tiring.
Preferred Certifications
  • ASE T8 (PMI) certification.
  • ASE T3 (Drivetrain) certification.
  • ASE T4 (Brakes) certification.
  • ASE T5 (Suspension) certification.
  • ASE T6 (Electrical and Electronic Systems) certification.
  • ASE T7 (HVAC) certification.
  • ASE 608/609 certification.
