Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Bon Secours. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient identification and obtain clinical history through interview or chart review
  • Perform ultrasound procedures and examinations as ordered by licensed practitioners
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
  • Follow department protocols and use independent judgment to adapt procedure plans
  • Recognize sonographic characteristics of normal and abnormal tissues, structures, and blood flow
  • Provide written summaries of findings and differential diagnoses to interpreting physicians
  • Maintain and complete all exam paperwork and logs as instructed
Requirements
  • Completion of a CAAHEP-approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or equivalent
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a full-service Ultrasound department
  • ARDMS certification with completion of registry
  • Effective communication skills, initiative, problem-solving ability, accountability, flexibility, and stress management
