The Manufacturing Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of the production line to ensure reliability and consistency. This role will be responsible for directing the work activities of skilled trade employees in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft engines.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Direction: Direct the work activities of hourly skilled trade employees in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft engines.
- Facilitation and Coordination: Facilitate the hourly workforce by setting clear expectations on production output, EHS compliance, and quality workmanship.
- Project Management: Develop project-specific scopes of work, schedule, and manage larger office complex maintenance and repair projects.
- Employee Development: Develop and maintain a positive and respectful work climate with all employees.
- Quality Assurance: Assure compliance with all methods to ensure top-quality product.
- Initiative Implementation: Responsible for the implementation and participation of all management initiatives.
- Problem-Solving: Develop new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organization.
- Communication: Specify needs and communicate about project approach and present outcomes of research done.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of Manufacturing/Production Supervision, Technical, and/or Shop Operations experience).
- Experience: At least 3 years of Manufacturing/Production Supervision, Technical, and/or Shop Operations experience.
- Technical Skills: Technical troubleshooting skills.
- Lean Six Sigma: Experience in Lean Six Sigma Fundamentals.
- Leadership: Leadership ability, strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative.
- Problem-Solving: Problem solver, analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinker.
