Konecky Oil Inc. is seeking a skilled Automotive Repair Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our repair shop, you will be responsible for performing routine automotive maintenance and mechanical repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks: oil changes, tire rotations, transmission flushes, air conditioner re-charges, front-end alignments, battery installations, and headlight/taillight installations.
- Conduct mechanical repairs: suspension, steering, driveline, engine diagnostics, EVAP systems, transmission and engine replacement, engine repair.
- Maintain industry knowledge: stay up-to-date with current industry best practices and manufacturer training requirements.
- Diagnose and repair vehicle issues: conduct extensive diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of customers' vehicle problems and provide accurate repair recommendations.
- Test and verify repairs: take vehicles for test drives to ensure soundness.
- Maintain accurate records: keep detailed paperwork for customers and company records.
- Keep a clean work environment: maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements:
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in automotive repair or auto mechanic training.
- Education: high school diploma/GED required; associate degree in auto maintenance and repair a plus.
- Certifications: ASE certification a plus.
- Skills: ability to maintain a professional appearance, provide friendly customer service, and operate all auto repair tools.
- Knowledge: knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment a must.
