Your Role:
The Telecommunications Tower Technician is a skilled individual with over three years of experience in installing infrastructure on telecommunication towers. This role involves supporting the foreman in planning and executing site builds, identifying potential change orders, and addressing safety concerns that may affect project timelines. The Technician will also serve as a backup to the Tower Foreman when necessary. This position requires significant travel and work at heights exceeding 100 feet.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the competent person on-site, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Lead by example, promoting the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) among crew members.
• Maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders, including employees, management, clients, and the public.
• Ensure availability and functionality of safety supplies and first aid kits.
• Oversee the organization of trash and debris on-site.
• Delegate tasks effectively to ensure timely progress and quality workmanship.
• Verify that all materials and equipment are ready before construction begins.
• Provide daily updates to project managers and ensure completion of close-out documents.
• Conduct thorough inspections of ropes, rigging, and personal fall arrest systems (PFAS) prior to use.
• Maintain accurate timekeeping for crew members and manage vehicle and equipment upkeep.
• Ensure that job safety analyses (JSAs) are completed daily by all on-site personnel.
• Utilize test equipment to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Demonstrate proficiency in rigging and the use of capstan hoists.
• Read and interpret construction drawings accurately.
• Log in and out with tower owners and clients, adhering to their policies.
• Mentor and train junior technicians to advance their skills.
• Exhibit strong time management and leadership abilities.
• Consistently uphold company policies and procedures.

• Show reliability and punctuality in all job-related tasks.
• Complete credit card transactions in a timely manner.
