Addictions Counselor

We are seeking a highly skilled Addictions Counselor to join our team at Geisinger Health System. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide chemical dependency services to patients and their families, facilitating group therapy, individual and family therapy, and presenting educational lectures to patients and family members.

• Provide primary care management at all levels of counseling care as needed
• Carry out all relevant charting requirements
• Facilitate group therapy, individual and family therapy
• Present educational lectures to patients and family members
• Coordinate case management responsibilities with outside agencies and coordinate discharge planning
• Observe all applicable facility policies and procedures
• Coordinate treatment planning process through the multidisciplinary team
• Participate in department quality improvement activities

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences
• Minimum of 1 year of related work experience
• Certification(s) and License(s) as required
