We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Operations Technician to join our team at Franciscan Ministries. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety and efficiency of our facilities, ensuring that our residents and patients receive the highest level of care.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain grounds, physical structure, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to federal, state, and local standards, manufacturer guidelines, and regulations.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment, including plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, painting, and other tasks as directed.
- Address work orders promptly and properly, ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Remove snow and ice from sidewalks, stairs, and entrances to the facility, and perform other outdoor maintenance tasks as necessary.
- Service heating and cooling units/systems, generators, and other equipment as specified by the manufacturer and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Replace burned-out light bulbs, including exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, room call lights, and perform cleaning duties wherever necessary.
- Alternate carrying a security radio while on duty and ensure that the channel lock and volume are set correctly.
- Electrician or HVAC certification preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of prior Plant Operations experience, preferred
- Certified training to work in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or a combination of related work experience
