Position Overview:
As a Radiologic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures and providing essential patient care. Your expertise will support the Radiology Department in delivering critical diagnostic information for patient treatment.


Minimum Qualifications:
Education, Certification, and Licensure:
  • Graduation from an accredited Radiography program.
  • Current registration or eligibility for registration by the ARRT in Radiography; if eligible, boards must be passed within six months of hire.
  • Licensure as a Radiologic Technologist in the applicable state.
  • Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Completion of a state and federal background check as required.

Core Responsibilities:

The following duties outline the essential functions of this role:

  • Engage in all diagnostic imaging areas to enhance technical skills.
  • Conduct imaging procedures based on patient assessments and established protocols.
  • Ensure high-quality image production while minimizing radiation exposure.
  • Maintain proficiency in anatomy and pathology to optimize imaging procedures.
  • Provide patient education regarding imaging processes and address inquiries.
  • Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives within the department.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and regulatory guidelines in all practices.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this position include:

  • Ability to differentiate shades of gray on imaging monitors.
  • Prolonged standing and walking.
  • Capacity to lift and carry weights up to 50 pounds.

Working Environment:

Employees may encounter:

  • Minimal radiation exposure, monitored for safety.
  • Interaction with various medical imaging equipment.

Additional Information:
