Job Summary:

SKLD is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. As a CNA, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and promoting a positive and supportive environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)

• Assist with transfers, ambulation, and range of motion exercises to maintain resident mobility and comfort

• Monitor and report any changes in resident condition, including vital signs, and provide information to the charge nurse or other care planning staff

• Participate in care planning and implementation, including providing input on resident care and preferences

• Maintain a safe and clean environment, including disposing of soiled materials and supplies, and reporting any hazardous conditions or equipment issues

• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff, and maintain confidentiality and respect for resident rights and dignity

• Assist with new admissions, re-admissions, and transfers, and participate in training and education programs as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Current Michigan Certified Nurse Aide Certification or completion of a Michigan-approved CNA training program and eligibility to test

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematics, and verbally communicate with residents, staff, and visitors

• One year of experience in long-term care, hospice, or healthcare desired (not required)

Working Conditions:

• Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities

• May be required to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

• May be required to lift, move, and transport residents, using proper body mechanics or lifting devices for accident prevention
