About the Role

The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ohio is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Futures Development Program Coordinator. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting the success of our High School Littles by implementing program efforts and delivering quality service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Match Support: Regularly exercise discretion and judgment to assess match relationships, focusing on child safety, and provide individualized support to High School Littles, families, and volunteers.
  • Program Development: Assess needs, create individualized success and retention plans, and provide coaching, information, and support to ensure a positive youth development experience, high level of support and engagement for families, and a successful and satisfying experience for volunteers.
  • Resource Access: Access resources and leverage community outreach programs to support High School Littles in High School success, college access, and/or career readiness.
  • Family Support: Provide information and resources to families in need of additional support or services, maintain contact to ensure parties in need have obtained the appropriate resources, and are on a path to resolution and/or success.
  • Programming: Co-design programming for High School Littles, Volunteers, and families in alignment with Big Futures initiatives and priorities.
  • Child Safety: Provide high-level expertise in applying child safety and risk management knowledge, policies, and procedures throughout all aspects of job function.
  • Documentation: Ensure all Match Support contacts and initiatives are operating within program guidelines, conduct introduction meetings for new match relationships, and facilitate enrollment procedures to successfully enroll and acclimate participants into the Program.
  • Outcomes Tracking: Effectively administer all outcomes surveys with match participants and accurately track data, responsible for maintaining accurate documentation and database entry per national and agency standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other service delivery staff to ensure smooth transition among functions, assist in defining and meeting deliverables and/or outcomes for the Program team, and help in other program areas as part of the team when needed.
Requirements
  • A documented bachelor's degree, from an accredited college or university, in a field that is determined by the agency to be appropriate for the position(s), or candidates shall be within six months of degree completion;
  • A documented associate degree or two years of higher education experience, from an accredited college or university in a field that is determined by the agency to be appropriate for the position(s) and two years of relevant work experience in related fields, such as social work, counseling, social services, child development, or other related fields as defined by the agency;
  • Four years of relevant work experience with a diverse population of young adults, meeting them where they are in life, and elevating their voices;
  • Must have viable transportation and valid drivers' license to meet job responsibilities;
  • Communicates well with diverse groups of people; ability to work effectively with parents, caregivers, volunteer mentors, and community partners;
  • Organized professional with superior written, verbal, and presentation skills, understanding of project management strategies, strong time-management skills, ability to work efficiently and effectively in a deadline-driven fast-paced environment;
  • Must have advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office and related software;
  • Must be willing to work 40 hours each workweek and be available at peak work periods for additional work hours;
  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as required.
