The University of Wisconsin Division of Transplantation is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Research Faculty on the Tenure Track in Transplant Immunology. The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and clinicians to develop and implement cutting-edge research projects focused on understanding and addressing the intricate immunologic processes that occur during organ transplantation.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct innovative research to study the immunological aspects of organ transplantation, including allograft rejection, immune response modulation, and tolerance induction.
- Analyze experimental data and develop insights to improve transplant outcomes, identify potential risks, and devise personalized immunosuppression strategies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of transplant surgeons, clinicians, and researchers to integrate immunological knowledge into clinical practice and improve patient care.
- Apply for research grants and funding opportunities to support ongoing projects and innovative research initiatives.
- Disseminate research findings through scientific publications, presentations at scientific conferences, and presentations.
- Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines and regulations while conducting research involving human subjects and animal models.
- PhD in Immunology, Transplantation, or a related field.
- Academic credentials sufficient for appointment at the Tenure Track rank of Professor or Associate Professor.
- Success in leading, developing, or participating in an extramurally funded research program.
